GDI Solutions Day 2026 took place on October 13, 2026, at the Sava Centar. GDI Solutions Day is a regional event that brings together over 1,000 professionals from the business and public sectors across Central and Southeast Europe. Participants had the opportunity to explore the latest developments within the ArcGIS platform (Enterprise 12.1, Online, Pro), reality mapping and LiDAR data processing, as well as advanced solutions for managing the entire lifecycle of infrastructure. Following the Plenary session, attendees could participate in three distinct workshops covering the "Esri ArcGIS modern geospatial platform," the "GDi Ensemble Smart Portal 5 platform" and "GDi customized solutions – best practice examples." During the latter, Mila Milošević, a representative from RATEL’s Department for Postal Market Analysis, Registry and Archives, presented a GIS portal for postal services.

In an effort to foster competition within the postal services market, RATEL has undertaken a series of initiatives over the past few years. One of the most significant is the creation of a GIS portal for postal services, developed as a Smart Portal application. This application serves as a geographic information system designed to display the availability of both universal postal services and services falling outside the scope of the universal postal service. The presentation showcased the methods and benefits of using a GIS portal for postal services, a tool employed by postal operators to input and manage data regarding their branches, parcel lockers and delivery areas. It also highlighted the use of spatial-demographic analysis to support decision-making on the opening of new locations. Furthermore, the presentation covered features designed for postal service users, enabling them to search through the operators' spatial data based on various criteria, with the goal of informing as many users as possible about the availability of postal services.
