Ratel delegation at the celebration of EKIP's 25th anniversary
The Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro (EKIP) celebrated its 25th anniversary in Podgorica with a large number of guests and representatives of key state institutions.
The celebration of EKIP's 25th anniversary was attended by the following Ratel delegation: Director Dragan Pejović, Chair of the Council Dragan Kovačević, Technical Director Dragoljub Stefanović, Deputy Chair of the Council Petar Stijović and members of the Ratel Council Prof. Dr. Dejan Marković and Dr. Slobodan Ristić.
In his welcoming speech, the Chair of the EKIP Council Dr. Milan Radulović pointed out the great results that EKIP has achieved in two and a half decades of business activities, highlighting the successful implementation of 5G technology, the expansion of optical infrastructure, the availability of ultra-fast internet, and harmonization with European Union standards.
The gathering was also attended by representatives of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), representatives of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC), as well as representatives of the Government of the Republic of Montenegro.
For two decades, Ratel has been working closely with its colleagues from EKIP, both at the regional and bilateral levels, to exchange information, experiences and documents related to the development of regulations, policies and strategies in the field of electronic communications and postal services, as well as for joint actions and positions in international organizations and forums. Cooperation in the field of roaming has been successfully ongoing for more than a decade, and thanks to joint engagement and efforts, significant results and benefits for end-users in the region have been achieved.
