Ratel takes part in 43rd PosTel
The 43rd Symposium on Novel Technologies in Postal and Telecommunications Traffic, “PosTel 2025”, was held at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade. The topics of this year’s symposium were advanced technologies and services in postal and telecommunications traffic as an important means of improving the quality of life of citizens and increasing trust in the postal and telecommunications sector.
The work of the participants at the two-day symposium was carried out in several sessions: Telecommunication traffic, Networks and services, Process management in postal and telecommunications traffic and Postal traffic, networks and services, at which Mila Milošević, Chief Advisor at Ratel, gave a presentation on “Application of geographic information systems for regulatory purposes”.
A round table on the topic “New EU DELIVERY ACT – the future of regulation and sustainable development of the postal and delivery markets in the European Union” was also held at Postel, where one of the panelists was Dr. Nikola Trubint, Chief Advisor at Ratel.
"The new Law on Postal Services completes its cycle with the adoption of 11 by-laws, which Ratel is to adopt and prescribe in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications no later than March next year. Most of these regulations have already been adopted, ensuring better protection of the rights of postal service users, digitalization of processes that allow operators to use modern technology in a broader way, which can speed up processes from collection to delivery and enable greater flexibility in business organization. The postal services market is recording stable growth in 2025," said at the opening Ljubomir Ostojić, Director of the Postal Services Department at Ratel. He added that express volumes are growing from 12% in domestic postal traffic to 24% in international postal traffic, and that this increase is largely driven by the expansion of e-commerce, which accounts for nearly 50% of the volume of express services. Forecasts are that, due to the decline in the volume of letters and the growth of parcel volumes, these two will equalize by 2033, i.e. one pacel will be delivered for every letter.
"PosTel 2025" is an international conference which has been organized by the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering for many years, enjoying a high reputation and a prominent position in the scientific and professional field, bringing together a large number of eminent experts in the area of postal and telecommunications traffic from Serbia and the region.
