A delegation from Ratel and the National CERT, at the invitation of the General Staff, visited the Telecommunications and Information Technology Directorate of the Serbian Armed Forces in order to present data from the Market Overview of Electronic Communications and Postal Services in the Republic of Serbia for 2024.

In addition to a detailed review of the electronic communications market and operator services for 2024, the representatives of the Directorate were also acquainted with key activities in the field of electronic communications and the work of the National CERT in 2025. During the working visit, a joint review of the cooperation to date was made and opportunities for its further improvement were discussed, through a more intensive mutual exchange of experiences and best practices.

Representatives of the National CERT presented data on information security, statistical data on the most common types of cyber attacks at the international level, distribution channels, as well as cyber incidents on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

The discussion focused on the application of cyber techniques, tactics and procedures, the growth trend in the number of cyber incidents and their reporting to the National CERT, the financial damage suffered by citizens of the Republic of Serbia, as well as data on the prevalence of attacks in various sectors, from electronic communications, energy and healthcare to the financial sector.

The regular annual presentation of the market overview, primarily in the field of electronic communications, aims to familiarize the expert services of the Serbian Armed Forces in the field of telecommunications and IT with current development trends and to enable timely exchange of information of importance for the improvement of the civilian and military sectors.
