Following a public bidding procedure, Ratel – the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, on December 2, 2025, awarded individual licenses for the use of radio frequency spectrum in the radio frequency bands 694-790 MHz, 880-915/925-960 MHz, 1710-1785/1805-1880 MHz, 1920-1980/2110- 2170 MHz, 2500-2690 MHz and 3400-3800 MHz.

The licenses were awarded to the operators Telekom Srbija, Yettel and A1 Srbija, which paid the first half of the one-off fee for the use of the assigned radio frequency spectrum within the stipulated deadline, in the total amount of 150,049,715 euros.

In the presence of members of the Council and associates, Ratel Director Dragan Pejović ceremoniously handed over the licenses to Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lučić, Yettel CEO Mike Michel, and A1 Srbija CEO Judith Albers.

The issuance of individual licenses, among other things, created the conditions for all three operators to begin commercial provision of services using 5G technology, which represents a major step towards the modernization of mobile networks and the provision of better services.
