The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL) hosted the 43rd meeting of WG NaN2 of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations’ Electronic Communications Committee (CEPT ECC), held on September 23 and 24, 2025.

The NaN2 (Numbering and Networks 2) working group deals with specific topics in the field of numbering and networks concerning number portability, changing service providers, secure use of numbering and regulatory issues in the area of network technologies.

13 representatives of 9 CEPT administrations (Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Serbia and Turkey) attended the Belgrade meeting in person, with representatives of Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Malta, North Macedonia, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden participating  via video link. A representative of the ECO European Communications Office also took part in the work of the meeting.

Draft texts of several recommendations concerning the prevention of the abuse of numbering were discussed at the meeting. In addition, the participants exchanged experience in regulating the methods of assignment and use of numbering.
