The 36th Symposium on Novel Technologies in Postal and Telecommunications Traffic, PosTel 2018, is taking place on December 4 and 5, at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade, with more than 450 participants and attendees. The Symposium is organized by the Department for Postal and Telecommunications Traffic, supported by the PE „Pošta Srbije“, Telekom Srbija JSC, Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, Engineering Chamber of Serbia and Telecommunications Society. Sponsors of the event are the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia.

Dr Vladica Tintor said at the opening ceremony that RATEL closes this business year well positioned in terms of international presence. „We have organized an open stakeholder workshop for the postal industry participants from the EU and our region as well as the ERGP Plenary meeting. We have hosted during this gathering the largest number of participants since the establishment of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services. Experts in postal regulation have discussed several important topics, ranging from initial presentation of a cross-border study, through sharing opinions and results of the EU candidate countries, to dicsussions on the necessity and further steps of adoption of the Fourth EU Postal Directive. RATEL’s reputation with ERGP made it possible for the representatives of Montenegro and Macedonia to join this year’s event.“

The theme of PosTel 2018 is „Management of processes in postal and telecommunications traffic“. RATEL’s representatives will present two papers on the session of December 5.
