IRG Heads' Workshop on '5G reality check: reflecting on emerging use cases so to optimally leverage on specific regulations to deploy 5G’  took place on 18 October in Brussels.

The first session, focusing on emerging 5G use cases, was chaired by RATEL’s director Dr Vladica Tintor. The presentations have stirred an active discussion involving all stakeholders, demonstrating the current interest for the beginning of 5G deployment.

The second part of the workshop delved into the regulatory support NRAs may bring to foster 5G deployment addressing both spectrum and infrastructure-supportive measures. The panel featured representatives from the RSPG, ITU, the Commission as well as NRAs.

The workshop closed with an update from DotEcon on its study on 5G.
