Memorandum on cooperation between BIPT and RATEL

 Michel Van Bellinghen, chairman of the Council of the Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Belgium (BIPT) and dr Vladica Tintor, director of the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of the Republic of Serbia (RATEL), signed a Memorandum of understanding on cooperation, based on mutual interests.

The cooperation in the field of electronic communications and postal services will further good relations in other areas as well. The purpose of the Memorandum is to support regulatory policies and activities of the Parties in accordance with the mutual interests, best international practice and the two countries citizens’ needs.

The cooperation between BIPT and RATEL will be realized through the exchange of information, documents and experts, via bilateral consultations, joint technical workshops, study visits and trainings.

The Memorandum of understanding has been signed with an aim to enhance and develop cooperation between the Parties and is not binding upon the Parties under international law. The Memorandum shall remain in force for a period of two years.
