Enhancement and expansion of RF Spectrum Monitoring System

02.03.2022

The radio frequency spectrum monitoring system of the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services was extended in 2021 by three new remotely controlled monitoring and measurement stations (RCMMS) - Zlatovo, Vlaška and Radan, so that RATEL’s RF spectrum monitoring system now comprises two Monitoring and Measurement Centers (MMC) in Belgrade and Niš, and nineteen RCMMS in total.

During 2021, a project of construction and installation of three compact remotely controlled measuring stations (CRCMS) in the area of Novi Sad was started. In January 2022, the work on the compact remotely controlled measuring stations in the municipalities Futog, Šangaj and Ledinci of Novi Sad was finished. The stations are equipped with a TDOA RF signal source geolocation feature and integrated in the existing MMC Belgrade monitoring system.

Over 2022, activities regarding the construction of the network of compact remotely controlled measuring stations will be continued in urban areas covered by the both MMCs, which will contribute to a more efficient RF spectrum monitoring on most of the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
