Cooperation between SMATSA and RATEL

Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services (SMATSA) and Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL) signed a Protocol on cooperation with an aim to establish and develop coordinated activities of the two regulatory bodies for an improved service in air traffic and a more reasonable, economic and efficient use of radio frequency spectrum as a limited natural resource, consistent application of regulations governing the area of electronic communications and implementaion of protective measures against security risks in IC systems.

The purpose of this Protocol is an effective cooperation in the area of national regulation, issuance of individual licenses for radio frequency use, investigation of interferences in the operation of radio communication and radio navigation systems, safety of air traffic, assessment of risks and alleviation of incident effects.

The Protocol was signed by Predrag Jovanović, director of SMATSA and dr Vladica Tintor, director of RATEL.
